Hi

I’m Emily and I like to make things.

Before I began my career, people would ask me the dreaded “what do you want to do you grow up?” question and I always had a hard time coming up with an answer. I wanted to make things. I fell in love with Adobe software and thought my life would be great if I could make a living from it. I didn’t know that was an answer. I was always told that art should be a hobby. That I should have a backup plan in case “things didn’t work out.” Nope, sorry, I want to make things. So I tried to learn everything I could about typography, color theory, photo editing and layout. That eventually evolved into branding, print, package and web design. And before I knew it, I was making things for a living.

Before I moved to Orange County, I graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a BA in Studio/Fine Arts and a BA in Psychology. When I'm not in front of a computer, I enjoy hiking, drawing, gardening and binge watching cooking competitions. To learn more about my design experience, click here to download my resume.
